The weird and wonderful way to moisturize your lips.
Way back in 2013, exactly five years ago today, I was making supply purchases online for my new lip balm business. I came across some lip-safe flavor oils. I knew already that I didn’t want to make basic, boring products. I wanted unusual. I wanted unique. I don’t know if those oils your organic or even vegan, but they were the inspiration for many of the flavors I make today. One of the flavors was dill pickle, which, once combined with vanilla flavoring, became a highly successful lip balm, particularly popular after being included in a Vegan Cuts Beauty Box a year later.
Pickles & Ice Cream Lip Balm is surprisingly simple: creamy vanilla ice cream and fragrant dill pickles. Perfect for an expectant mother’s late-night cravings… or for anyone craving this herbal-sweet treat! It’s one of those flavors where you might like the flavor more if you don’t know what it’s supposed to be. It’s definitely a love-it-or-hate-it situation, but you shouldn’t be too surprised when you become the former. Oh, and by the way, my formula eschews the typical artificial flavoring in favor of organic essential oils, natural vegan flavors, and real vanilla absolute.
Well, that’s it. That’s the last of the Product Profiles. Over 75 products and after nearly a year and a half, I’ve finally profiled all of my products. In the future there well of course be more Product Profiles when I introduce new products, but in the meantime, stay tuned every Saturday for posts profiling ingredients, the creative process, and all things Molly Rose Balms.
