Often do I regret making this lip and cheek tint seasonal, and often do I consider changing my mind and making it available year-round. But because it screams CHRISTMAS at the top of its lungs, I save it for this special time of year. This year, however, I’ve decided on a little work-around… While writing this, I’m sitting here, surrounded by the aroma of bayberry, cranberry, and bergamot, having just completed a bath of Red Rose Salt Bombs. So much love do I have for this scent combination that I made my red rose, the quintessential rose, in this scent. It will be available all year long, so you can enjoy it whenever you like! But we’re not here to talk about that; we want to talk about its beautiful older sister: Holly Berry Lip & Cheek Tint.

I had wanted to make a big flashy sparkly red ever since I made my very first lip and cheek tint, Birch Beer, which is also a red, but a much more subdued brick-red creamy matte. After about a year, I decided it should be part of my Holiday Collection, with a suitably Christmassy scent to match. I chose a scent that most reminds me of winters and Christmases of my childhood: sachets of bayberry potpourri, mugs of bergamot-scented Earl Grey tea, and chewy cranberry cookies. Add that to a rich, glittery red and a moisturizing base, and you’ve got a show-stopper!

My selfie game is strong with Holly Berry Lip & Cheek Tint.

I love this color so much. I wear it all the time, especially if I need a little boost of confidence, and I’m rarely without one in my possession. I recently cleaned out my purse, and these were the only beauty products I had:wp-1476507226552.jpeg

For those of you keeping score at home, that’s Sugar & Spice Lip Scrub:1, Lime Coconut Lip Balm:1, Holly Berry:3. All others have yet to score.

As I’ve said, I kind of regret making this color a seasonal item, but I just can’t separate the idea of it from Christmastime. I have thought about making all of my seasonal products available all year, and I may do that one day, but for now, I don’t think there’s is any demand for that. If YOU are interested in that idea, do let me know! For now, I think enjoying that color and fragrance encapsulated in the Red Rose Salt Bomb is enough.

Next week, I’ll share the secrets of my mom’s favorite of all of my products, and the only lip balm she ever uses: Ribbon Candy Lip Balm, certainly one of the most universally enjoyed of all the Molly Rose Holiday Collection.
