With a name like Molly Rose, you’d probably expect me to be Irish. Well, I’m not, but I do know a good coffee drink when I see one.
I do really like coffee, but I wouldn’t call myself a regular coffee drinker. I’ve never been one to drink more than one or two cups a week, max. When I do drink coffee, it must be creamed and sugared (and preferably flavored) to oblivion. However, I do consider the smell of coffee to be one of my all-time favorite scents.
Coffee can be a powerful aroma, but anyone who has worked in this industry can tell you that coffee can be tricky to translate in cosmetics. I had an incredibly difficult time finding a coffee flavor for this lip balm. They are usually too subtle, too harsh, or simply too hard to work with. I finally created a recipe as delicious as the real thing.
Irish Coffee Lip Balm is a delightful blend of hot coffee, Irish whiskey, brown sugar, and whipped cream. I love it because it’s so incredibly smooth and none of the flavor components is overpowering. It’s themed for St.Patrick’s Day but it’s fantastic to use throughout the year!
I just want to make an announcement that I have started a monthly newsletter! Head on over to the Molly Rose Balms website and sign up to receive news about Flavors of the Month, new releases, an exclusive newsletter coupon, and more!
