When it comes to lip balm, most people have certain flavor favorites: peppermint, cherry, or strawberry are common crowd-pleasers. But I hope that by now you know that I don’t do common.
Not long after starting Molly Rose Balms, I was having lunch with a friend who had recently purchased some lip balms from me. She told me that, not only did she love them, but her boyfriend did, too. She suggested that I make some “guy-themed” lip balms, such as bacon (which, unbeknownst to her, was already in pre-production) and beer. I kind of took that idea and ran with it (because when have I ever done anything by half?) and started with whiskey.
Whisky Lip Balm is a sweet and creamy take on the celebrated alcohol. With notes of fruit and sweet butter, Whisky is true to life, with all of the flavor but without the alcohol sting. Some people who have tried it find it has more of a spicy, Fireball-like lean, but in general, it’s pure scotch.

Next week is February, so we’ll take a look at February’s Flavor of the Month, Roses & Chocolate Lip Balm. You still have a few days to order Mint Truffle Lip Balm, but don’t wait – it’ll be gone with the end of the month!
