While I understand that the majority of the world’s population prefers warm weather to cold, I’m afraid that my tastes are not in alignment with that. Despite being a summer baby, I’ve always loved the winter, especially when there’s snow. Fortunately for me, this lip balm keeps me cool even during the sticky Mid-Atlantic summers.
Contrary to what you might think, wintergreen is NOT a mint. I know, mind blown, right? Despite being a common flavoring in toothpaste, gum, and (wait for it) mints, it is completely unrelated to the Mentha genus. I use 100% pure organic wintergreen essential oil in Wintergreen Lip Balm for a true refreshing wintergreen flavor.
Fun Fact: because the main component of wintergreen oil is methyl salicylate (or aspirin), each lip balm is the equivalent of 2 aspirin tablets… though I wouldn’t recommend eating one every time you have a headache!

I love wintergreen because it’s not the classic “minty” flavor. Sure, I love peppermint and spearmint, but there’s something about wintergreen that always seems extra special to me. Wintergreen Lip Balm refreshes and cools and still seems new and exciting, while also giving an old-fashioned candy vibe.
Next week, we’ll take a look at January’s Flavor of the Month: Mint Truffle Lip Balm. (Yes, I was going to feature it this week, but I didn’t… because reasons.) We’ll get treated to a little more wintergreen, along with chocolate and actual mint!
Omg sounds cool
